According to The New York Post’s Jon Heyman, the Yankees have made a contract offer to former National League MVP Cody Bellinger, who spent last season in the Bronx. Bellinger revived his form with the Chicago Cubs in 2023 and 2024, earning Comeback Player of the Year in 2023. Traded to the New York Yankees in December 2024, he delivered a solid 2025 campaign, hitting .272 with 29 home runs, 98 RBIs, 13 stolen bases, and a 5.1 WAR across 152 games, primarily in the outfield.
