Vietnam vets in their 80s who left high school early to serve finally get their diplomas Nearly four million U.S. high school students are graduating this year. Most are teenagers, but in Muscatine, Iowa, octogenarians are also receiving their diplomas. That's because more than six decades ago, they left school early to serve in the Vietnam War.
