The U.S. Coast Guard seized a second oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela on Saturday in the latest escalation of President Donald Trump’s pressure campaign on the country and his push to remove its leader Nicolás Maduro. He said the seizure took place in international waters off of Venezuela’s coast earlier in the morning; the operation was led by the Coast Guard and assisted by the U.S Navy. “It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the United States of America all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us.”
