In a social media post today, Zelenskyy said, quote, "the killings must stop as soon as possible, and the fire must cease, both on the battlefield and in the air." MYRE: So Ukraine is being hit very hard on multiple fronts - on the ground in the east of the country and with nightly Russian drone and missile strikes in cities and towns across the country. Ukrainians say Putin has always believed that time is on his side and he wants to keep the war going, and attempting to negotiate a full-fledged peace agreement while the war grinds on would be a monumental task.
