The rescue of the downed airman only assures all Americans that we have the best armed forces in the world (“Downed airman’s ‘safe & sound,’ ” April 5). Even if he’s not your cup of tea, he is the free-world’s actual defender and is in it to win it. While the end result of the Iran War is yet to be determined, one thing is certain: Trump’s recovery of Americans trapped in Iran was far more successful than Carter’s.
