President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth have deployed the Louisiana National Guard to New Orleans and other areas throughout the state, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry (R) announced on Fox News. In an appearance on The Will Cain Show, guest host Griff Jenkins pressed Landry to share his own National Guard news after the Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that Trump could not deploy National Guard troops to Chicago — following Trump deploying troops in cities across the country to crack down on crime. Landry seized the opportunity to thank Trump and Hegseth, revealing that the troops would be in New Orleans in time for New Year’s and remain through the end of February.
