US President Donald Trump said on Saturday night that Iran is “seriously talking" with the US, adding that he hopes Iran accepts a deal which sees it giving up its nuclear weapons. "But look, the plan is that [Iran is] talking to us, and we'll see if we can do something, otherwise we'll see what happens… We have a big fleet heading out there, bigger than we had - and still have, actually - in Venezuela." Hours before Trump’s comments, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran is prepared to resume nuclear negotiations with the US, but warned that talks cannot proceed while Washington continues to threaten military action.
