The Israeli government announced that, "In light of achieving the objectives of the operation, and in full coordination with President Trump, Israel has agreed to the president's proposal for a bilateral ceasefire. Mr. Trump posted Monday night that Israel and Iran had agreed on a "Complete and Total CEASEFIRE", a move he said would end the more than weeklong conflict between the two countries. Under the ceasefire announced by Mr. Trump Monday evening, Iran was to stop striking Israel in six hours (at midnight ET on Tuesday), and Israel was to stop striking Iran 12 hours after that (at noon ET Tuesday).
