In 2022, she burnished her credentials by attacking Washington, DC’s intelligence services—which include the Defense Intelligence Agency, a component of the DoD—as “more evil than Vladimir Putin.” (When asked whether her views have evolved, Wilson told VF in a statement: “Intelligence and law enforcement agencies under the previous administration were weaponized to target their political opponents and even patriotic American citizens. I have complete and total faith in our intelligence agencies under the oversight of the Trump administration.”) Wilson has also called the Great Replacement theory, in which elites are attempting to “replace” white Americans, a “reality.” She later worked in digital communications at the Center for Renewing America, a think tank founded by Project 2025 architect Russell Vought.
