Leading the charge is Alan Ritchson, who plays a U.S. Army Ranger known only as “81.” He’s deep into the brutal final phase of Ranger selection when the exercise goes completely off the rails. What’s supposed to be a test of endurance and teamwork turns into a fight to stay alive as his squad is hunted by a massive mech loaded with advanced weaponry and zero mercy. Ritchson’s physical presence does a lot of the heavy lifting here, and it’s clear that brains and brawn are both going to be essential if anyone’s walking away from this alive.
