After 3.3-percent growth last year, the world economy is now expected to expand by a "modest" 2.9 percent in 2025 and 2026, the Paris-based Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development said. The outlook "has deteriorated" in the United States after the economy expanded by a robust 2.8 percent last year, the report said. While annual inflation is expected to "moderate" among the Group of 20 economies to 3.6 percent in 2025 and 3.2 percent in 2026, the United States is "an important exception".
