Aerial video footage from cities in the South and Midwest, including St. Louis, Missouri and London, Kentucky show a trail of destruction including flattened houses and downed power lines in wake of the devastating storms and tornadoes. An estimated 21 tornadoes were reported on May 18 with tornadoes damaging homes just before 7 p.m. local time in Grinnell, along Interstate 70 in northeast Kansas, and just before midnight in the area of Plevna in south-central Kansas, the weather service said.
