Even without considering the jump in hardware from the Xbox One to the Xbox Series S|X, the direction that Xbox takes with its franchises has changed drastically over the years. Adding a plethora of free updates over the years that even include crossovers with the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean, Sea of Thieves more than lived up to its full potential. Even for fans outside the Metroidvania genre, there's a good reason that Ori and the Will of the Wisps has a staggering amount of overwhelmingly positive reviews that make it an easy recommendation, especially thanks to its availability on Game Pass.
