I opened tiktok the other day only for the first video to be of someone opening a new Bonne Maman jam jar and tipping the contents into some Tupperware while talking about her favourite types of matcha lattes (and how she’s happy to have a to-go cup for them now). I’m trying not to be mean but just how America focused everyone’s reactions to this is getting under my skin, it’s the Iranian and surrounding populations who never asked for any of this but are going to have their life torn up and turned upside down just to feed the American Imperialist war machine we should be focused on. i saw a video of palestinian teens throwing rocks into a lake and cracking jokes about how the idf is gonna jump out of the bushes any time - a legitimate and not-so-far away threat, but they can still joke about amongst themselves and the safety of each other.
