The White House magnificently trolls Dems about the East Wing renovations

we are all far too few are aware, the East Wing was constructed during World War II to accommodate the surge of office workers flooding the government during the war after Constitutional barriers that originally constrained Congress were annihilated by The Supreme Court with it's disastrous rulings in the 1939 Helvering case, and the Wickard case in 1942. The vaporization by The Court of those Constitutional limits permitted an explosion of the Federal Power that the Public entirely failed to recognize because it was entirely masked by the concurrent explosion in Federal activity related to the War. Inasmuch as the renovation is far MORE than just creation of a Ballroom (which is nice)-— that is to say, serious re-building and modernizing the Presidential Emergency Operations Center the PEOC acronym paid for by US War Dept and other funds aside from the private 250 million (the WWII era lower floors under the East Wing, built there by..the dems sacred Hero the gimp F.D.R.)
