Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, was killed on Tuesday, according to sources close to the family and local media. He argued that the West sought to control the country’s oil and gas resources and correctly warned that the violence would not end with his father’s death. He denied involvement in the killing of protesters and accused Western governments and the international media outlets of spreading lies in order to “create chaos” in Libya.
