As the Republican congresswoman Nancy Mace put it, opposition to animal testing is bringing together “the QAnon side of the Party and the socialist squad.” Following a trail of leads—a conversation at the mini-mart led her to a cashier at a Dollar General, who pointed her to an outlet store, after which she closed in on the mobile home where she might find the person responsible—Kofman determines what exactly happened that day in November.
