It has all the makings of another swing for the fences from Spielberg, with the studio he’s won 17 Academy Awards for betting on the beloved American filmmaker to deliver another “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”-level hit. Many of Spielberg’s routine creative partners worked on the film, including director of photography Janusz Kamiński, producer Kristie Macosko Krieger, and composer John Williams, who walked back his plans to retire after scoring “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” “Disclosure Day” marks Spielberg’s fifth collaboration with Koepp, who previously wrote “Jurassic Park,” “The Lost World,” “War of the Worlds,” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Koepp also returned to the “Jurassic Park” franchise after a three decade hiatus to write “Jurassic World: Rebirth,” which he explained in a 2025 interview with IndieWire.
