After the fourth season saw Homelander (Antony Starr) essentially taking control of the US government and place more Supes in power while undermining humans and rounding them up, the final season finds our rag tag group banding together – for better and worse – to take down Vought once and for all. It has already been reported that Jensen Ackles would be returning for the final season as Soldier Boy, and he appears being overlooked by Homelander in the new footage. But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it.
