The fact that Ben's mental state has suitably deteriorated by the end of the season sets up the version of the character who is more familiar to audiences from The Terminal List. It is unclear whether Dark Wolf season 2 will get a renewal, but being that Ben seemingly dies at Reece's hands at the end of the flagship show suggests he will not return for The Terminal List season 2. As one of the most layered and interesting characters in The Terminal List, Ben was a character who captured audiences' attentions, and Kitsch's performance led to the character receiving a spinoff.
