As opposed to the typical FPS or wartime survival game, This War of Mine puts players in the shoes of an average civilian trying to make ends meet during a time of siege. The game's gritty graphics are fitting of the gloomy setting and the difficult times you find yourself in, and much of the gameplay is driven by four separate narratives. Most of the reviews praise This War of Mine for the stellar storytelling in the included DLCs, challenging mechanics, and realistic portrayal of humanity and the horrors of war.
