Southern Indiana auto detailer gets to work on Air Force One


Jerry Grant, founder of MR Detailworx in Sellersburg, was recently chosen to help restore the famous presidential jet along with some other historic aircraft.Grant was picked as a member of the Air Force One Detailing Team, a group of volunteer professional detailers from across the country.The team gathered at the Museum of Flight in Seattle to clean, restore, and do preservation work on a variety of famous aircraft.The Air Force One model Grant worked on was used by every president from Dwight Eisenhower to Ronald Reagan.Grant and the team also worked on a B-29 Superfortress that fought in the Pacific during World War II, a Concorde that was one of the last supersonic passenger planes to fly, and a Lockheed Constellation.He also got to work on some Blue Angels fighter jets. Grant was picked as a member of the Air Force One Detailing Team, a group of volunteer professional detailers from across the country.
