Senators on Saturday said Secretary of State Marco Rubio (R) told them the widely reported 28-point peace plan to end the Russia-Ukraine war is not President Donald Trump’s idea, but rather a “wish list” from the Russians that was leaked to the press. Sen. Mike Rounds (R-ND), according to PBS NewsHour reporter Nick Schifrin, said Rubio called him and other lawmakers to make it “very clear to us that we are the recipients of a proposal that was delivered to one of our representatives. It was not released by our members or our representatives… This is an opportunity to receive it and that it has been utilized and delivered to the Ukrainians, and that they will have an opportunity to respond.
