Russia may be ‘a friend’ of Iran, but it seems unlikely to offer much

The Iranian foreign minister said on Sunday that he was heading to Russia to meet with President Vladimir V. Putin on Monday, as Iran weighed a response to a wave of U.S. strikes on its nuclear sites. In announcing the trip to Moscow, the Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, called Russia “a friend of Iran” and said that the two countries “enjoy a strategic partnership and we always consult with each other and coordinate our positions.” Hence the reason why the chiComs are deadly afraid of a peace deal in the Uk-Russia war which may get Russia back in the good graces of Trump- they will be left on the outside looking in and President Trump understands this
