Rowdy-sheeter arrested for assaulting milk parlour owner, wife in Bengaluru


Bengaluru: A rowdy-sheeter has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a milk parlour owner and his wife over parking a vehicle near Hebbagodi in Electronics City.Tarun Choudary, 42, who was driving home at Ananthnagar on Oct 9 night when objected to a milk van parked in front of the parlour blocking his way. Gopal also said Choudhary assaulted his four-year-old son.He threatened to kill the couple by running his SUV over them if they parked the milk van in front of the shop again, Gopal claimed and added that the accused pointed a pistol at him and threatened to fire.The accused also assaulted his bodyguards, who tried to stop him from assaulting the couple.Deputy commissioner of police (Electronics City) M Narayana said the rowdy-sheeter has been remanded in judicial custody.Choudhary's licensed pistol was deposited at Hebbagodi police station after a rowdy-sheet was opened against him three years ago. Since the complainant said he was threatened with a pistol, police searched his house and his bodyguards' homes but didn't find any weapon.A case has been registered against Choudhary under the BNS sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 126 (wrongful restraint), 133 (assault or criminal force with intent to dishonour a person), 351 (criminal intimidation), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and 74 (assault or use of criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty).Choudhary was involved in three cases of assault earlier.
