In a Thanksgiving Day post, the University of Oklahoma chapter of Turning Point USA, the right-wing student group founded by the late Charlie Kirk, highlighted Fulnecky’s essay and her professor’s response to it. In the paper, Fulnecky bases her argument nearly entirely around Christianity and the Bible, arguing that “Women naturally want to do womanly things because God created us with those womanly desires in our hearts.” The college junior went on to write that, “Society pushing the lie that there are multiple genders and everyone should be whatever they want to be is demonic.” Not only has the federal government set its sight on colleges, it has also broadened its attacks on the trans community from Trump signing an executive order that declares there are only two unchangeable sexes and his push to remove trans people from the military.
