Taylor Lorenz, a widely respected journalist who has worked for the New York Times and the Washington Post, and who recently appeared in an Emmy-nominated documentary series on CNN, has accused former transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg of supporting mass murder and "embrac[ing] far-right eugenics." She admitted feeling "joy" upon learning of Thompson's death because, in her view, the health care executive was responsible for the deaths of "tens of thousands of Americans." She reportedly "left" the New York Times in 2022 after colleagues complained about her creepy and obsessive coverage of Claudia Conway, the 15-year-old daughter of then-White House adviser Kellyanne Conway.
