By the end of October, Trump had called on Congress to investigate Nigeria, and he designated Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern, pointing to the thousands of Christians slaughtered by Islamic terrorists in the region. Trump threatened Nigeria’s government in November, warning that if the country did not sufficiently step in to stop the bloodshed, the U.S “may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.”
