Nearly 200 vintage cars and motorcycles made the journey to Lake Perkolilli, on the outskirts of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in WA's Goldfields, to race on the hard claypan surface. The car was painted white for the Red Dust Revival and included a number of original features, including a lap counter. "I managed to straighten it back up but was off the track and went over quite a few shrubs, and broke a few things on the car … quite a scary moment."
