Well, the Russian went into major isolation during the pandemic and has never entirely left it; his mental health may indeed have taken a serious turn for the worse — yet he’s far harder to dislodge than Joe Biden ever was. The president’s other option is to boost aid to Ukraine; maybe a one-two punch is the best way to get through to Vlad.
