Netflix VP Wants to Make It the "Largest Streaming Service for Anime" Globally


In a recent interview posted on Nikkei xtrend, Kim Minyoung, Netflix's Vice President of Content in Asia, and Yuji Yamano, Content Director of Netflix Japan, spoke about their plans to expand Netflix's anime offerings and potentially surpass Crunchyroll. Netflix's wider focus on anime is not only benefitting the streaming platform itself, it is increasing awareness and manga and light novel sales worldwide, which is a positive development for the entire anime industry. Growing the number of Netflix original anime available even more may be the boost Netflix needs to help the streaming platform finally surpass Crunchyroll.
