Netflix has acquired a pitch for a film adaptation of the upcoming action-strategy sandbox game “Kingmakers” which is being developed by 21 Laps and Story Kitchen. In the title, players go back in time to a war-torn era with a vast arsenal of modern weapons, change the course of history and save the future. The project marks one of several game adaptations from Story Kitchen in the works right now alongside Amazon’s new “Tomb Raider” live-action series, and a “Just Cause” film at Universal Pictures.
