I'll admit it's been a while since I've seen a wrestling item go up for so much, and I totally get why he wasn't able to break a certain number, even for a piece of wrestling history. Personally, I'm surprised it took this long for a piece of wrestling history to reach the million-dollar mark, as much as it also makes my bank account shudder to think about spending that much money on a single pair of boots. The Rock, for example, is a big fan, though I'd be more apt to think he'd buy something from their WrestleMania 8 showdown as opposed to the first one.
