Andrew Hastie, who is acting as shadow foreign minister, is calling for a greater understanding where the "limits lie" in Australia's alliance with the United States. Australia operates Pine Gap as a joint military facility with the US, and the US Marines have a rotational force in Darwin. "It's really important that Australian people understand exactly what that means," Hastie told reporters on Monday.
