Lang was repeatedly bashed on the back of the head by several protesters who swung fists, flags, and objects as he fled the chaotic scene, video posted to X showed. As Lang attempted to get away from the scene in a red sedan, video posted to X showed counter protesters ripping open the door of the car — throwing kicks and attempting to pull him back out onto the street. He had promised to burn a Quran on the steps of Minneapolis City Hall but ultimately didn’t follow through – and instead was left dodging aggressors, including one who stood next to him and did a Nazi salute in Lang’s face.
