The Wheel of Time was the perfect candidate, given that Robert Jordan's book series is one of the few fantasy titles that could rival Game of Thrones. King and Conqueror looks to be a promising, prestige addition with exceptional production value, a top-notch cast, and the potential to appeal to the Game of Thrones market. As much as I was starting to enjoy The Wheel of Time in season 3, the show lost too much momentum with the mediocre first and second seasons to ever fill the shoes of Game of Thrones.
