NAMSAI, July 26: The 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed with solemnity and patriotic fervour at the multipurpose hall in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, in an event jointly organised by the Assam Rifles, Arunachal University of Studies, and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh. In a deeply moving gesture, MLA of the 47th Namsai Constituency, Chow Zingnu Namchoom, visited the families of two martyred soldiers from the district—Lt Kartik Phalung of the 9th Assam Regiment and Domin Pakkam of the EME Corps. The Governor, speaking on the occasion, reflected on the legacy of Kargil and emphasised the continued role of the armed forces in safeguarding the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
