HT Correspondent MORIGAON, July 26: Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Charon Beel on Saturday, in a programme jointly organised by Mera Yuva Bharat, Morigaon — an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports — and NAHAR Youth Club. The day began with a plantation drive initiated by the Morigaon Forest Department, where Beat Officer Chiranjib Banik planted saplings of various tree species inside the Charon Beel park, promoting environmental awareness alongside patriotism.
