The Four Tops, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, The Pretenders, Tom Petty and Neal Young were all incredible- just to name a few... As per Queen- yes- they were good (they should’ve been- they had been touring together the prior two years) yet this “it was Queen and everyone else” storyline is BS... I was 16 at the time and we watched as much of it as we could (and of course recorded it on VCR to watch again and again). After Led Zeppelin finished their set i went in the back and sat against the wall for 45 minutes as i was spent- Live Aid was over for me...yeh- all these years later everyone could say they did not sound good yet the anticipation, build up and emotion of them getting back on stage in the US for the first time in 8 years was incredible... BTW- check out the Four Tops performance- they were great...the crowd loved them and you could tell they really appreciated being there as well as the reaction they were getting from a bunch of 20-something year old white kids... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVxokPRh-8U
