Jason Momoa Says His Son Got Cast in ‘Dune 3’ on His Own and ‘I Don’t Want to Help Him’: ‘He’s 16 and Holding S— Down With Denis Villeneuve’


Jason Momoa told Extra at the premiere of Apple TV+’s “Chief of War” in Kapolei, Hawaii, that he played no part in landing his son, Nakoa-Wolf, a major new role in “Dune: Part Three.” Momoa starred as Duncan Idaho in Denis Villeneuve‘s first “Dune” movie and has already confirmed he will be back for the upcoming sequel after sitting out “Dune: Part Two.” I don’t want to help him, and he’s done it all on his own, and good for him.” Duncan Idaho is the swordmaster and mentor to Paul Artreides in 2021’s “Dune,” but the character sacrifices himself near the end of the film to allow Paul and his mother, Jessica, to escape from Sardaukar soldiers.
