His response to an explosive Epstein-related story published by The Wall Street Journal, based on a lewd letter Trump allegedly wrote to his then friend more than 20 years ago which spoke of a "wonderful secret", was to sue Rupert Murdoch, the owner of the newspaper, and to ban the masthead from being part of the press pool covering his trip to Scotland.
