The IDF announced the death of 1st Lieutenant Ori Gerlic, a platoon commander in the Shimshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade. "It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I received the news of Ori's passing, a member of the community and a hero of Israel. Since the war began on October 7, 2023, the IDF has announced the death of 899 soldiers, 454 of them killed in the Gaza Strip.
