The list, published the morning after the cabinet approved the US-backed ceasefire deal, includes members of the Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Fatah and the Popular Front terror groups, responsible for dozens of deadly terror attacks, but does not include some key terror chiefs Hamas has demanded, including popular Fatah figure Marwan Barghouti. So, while Israel has since incorporated a great deal of free market capitalism (indeed, it is called the “startup nation” for the thousands of enterprises created by its citizens) and more individual liberty than is commonly found in purely socialist societies, it still retains some significant elements of collectivity (its universal health care system plus some powerful labor unions and some very visibile leftwingish professors on its college campuses. So there’s a combination of some well -established and organized leftwing elements in society, a strong leftist congingent in the knesset, AND third, billions of dollars of enemy foreign capital flowing into the country to destablize it (such as with large “spontanous” street demonstrations and propaganda press parties, etc.)
