Iran is close to securing supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles from China as the US ramps up naval pressure in the Middle East for a possible strike on the Islamic Republic, according to a new report. Iran has been in talks with China on purchasing the advanced missile for at least two years, with the negotiations speeding up after its recent 12-day war with Israel, six Iranian government and security officials told Reuters. The build-up in arms comes as the US continues to increase its military forces in the Middle East region, with Trump warning of looming attacks on Iran if the Islamic Republic does not agree to a new nuclear deal.
