Earlier, the Chairman of the Traditional Council in Gwer West LGA of Benue State, Daniel Abomtse, raised concerns over the influx of displaced armed herders into some communities in the state. The Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, said the detainees confessed that “as a result of the heat turned on them in the northern part of the country, they are relocating into the forest”. The military must share intelligence, take the battle to the terrorists’ hideouts and smoke them out of the forests.
