Interactive session with students on digital scams in Bengaluru


To address this growing concern, The Times of India is bringing its digital safety initiative #DontGetScammed to campus with an interactive awareness session for students.The conversation on cyber issues will be led by Raja Kasim Imam P, DCP, Central Crime Bureau, Bengaluru city police, Monday (Feb 2), at 11.30am, at APS PU College, NR Colony, Basavanagudi. The talk will be followed by a fireside chat with a TOI journalist and an interactive Q&A session with students.Drawing from real-life cases and on-ground policing experience, the senior police officer will interact with PU students and decode how digital scams operate, why young people are often easy targets and what simple steps can help them stay safe online. The session will cover common frauds related to social media, gaming platforms, online shopping, OTP sharing and digital payments, areas that students engage with daily.As digital access grows, so does digital responsibility.
