He was a notable supporter of Irish racing and one of the driving forces behind the redevelopment of the Curragh, and gave his name to the Aga Khan Trophy, a renowned event on the Irish showjumping calendar. One of the biggest film stars of the 1970s, he was best known for his roles in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting and All the President’s Men. There are 11 books in the series, the last of which was published in 2023, while the second novel of the series, Rivals was adapted into a television series on Disney+.
