As one of the MCU's most powerful superheroes, having the Scarlet Witch die in a hail of rubble seems immediately implausible, but many questioned the veracity of this death as no body was shown, and a suspicious red flash accompanied the moment of impact. This raised eyebrows as it seems possible that Scarlet Witch, who was at the height of her power in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, instead used her power to exit the collapsing structure in the nick of time. After the end of Captain America: Brave New World, Sam Wilson is getting to work recruiting the Avengers (while apparently litigating against the New Avengers if the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene is anything to go by), and it would make sense for him to target one of the most powerful Avengers of yesteryear.
