High-profile graft cases take time to prosecute — EFCC chair


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has said the delay in arraigning some politically exposed and high-profile suspects is due to the painstaking process of gathering evidence in such cases. Citing the case involving a former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, Olukoyede said there was nothing personal or political about the EFCC’s actions. “If Nigeria is to move forward, all of us must agree that this fight must be fought without being partisan, and that’s what I want Nigerians to understand and to agree with us,” he added.
