Benjamin Kramer, president of U.S. distribution at Black Bear, released a statement about the studio's excitement at working with Ritchie, Lionsgate, and the cast led by Cavill, Gyllenhaal, and González. After directing multiple Henry Cavill action movies, including The Man from U.N.C.L.E and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, In the Grey marks a reunion for Ritchie and the popular actor.
